TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a classroom teacher for 15 years. Most of that time has been spent working with Gifted & Talented students in Middle School English Language Arts. I have taught in grades 1-8, some of that time as a Gifted Specialist doing pull-outs for enrichment.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My classroom encourages open and respectful dialogue that creates an energetic environment filled with engaged students who become confident participants in their own learning. I think of it as a structured yet flexible style that helps students learn to be risk-takers within a supportive space. My products aim to create a rigorous environment that empowers students to be self-aware and take responsibility for their learning.
