The Blue Koala

In my teaching experience across Pre-K, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades, I have developed a versatile and inclusive approach to education. In Pre-K, I focused on nurturing foundational skills through play-based learning, fostering curiosity and social skills development. In first grade, I emphasized foundational literacy and numeracy skils, using interactive methods to engage young learners. In 3rd grade, I integrated more complex concepts while maintaining a supportive environmen, encouraging independent thinking and problem solving. Lastly, in 5th grade, I focused on preparing students for middle school by fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and self-directed learning, ensuring they were equipped witht he skills needed for future academic success.

The Blue Koala focuses on fostering collaboration and active participation within groups. I believe in creating a supportive environment where every individual feels valued and empowered to contribute. I emphasize hands-on learning experiences and ensure that all group members are engaged and able to learn.

My education journey began at community college, where I pursued an associate degree in early education. Here, I gained a solid foundation in child development principles and eaerly childhood education practices. Transferring to university, I continued my studies, focusing on advanced toopics in early childhood education, such as curriculum development, educational psychology, and inclusive teaching practices. Throughout my university experience, I engageed in hands-on learning experiences, internships, and student teaching, honing my skills and preparing me for a successful career in early education.
