Welcome to The Black Homeschool Mom, where you'll find a wealth of resources, knowledge, and inspiration for homeschooling within the Black community. My name is Nkele Lungu, a mother of two little girls, a devoted wife, and a Christian with a passion for all things Black History. Originally from Botswana, Southern Africa, I now reside in Toronto, Canada. As I began my homeschooling journey with my own children, I noticed a significant lack of Black-centered resources that instilled knowledge, factual history, and a sense of pride in our Black heritage. This realization drove me to fill this void by creating and curating valuable resources that celebrate the richness of African and Caribbean culture. Through Geography activity packs covering the African continent, the Caribbean, and more, "The Black Homeschool Mom" blog aims to serve the underserved community of Black homeschoolers. I am determined to foster a dialogue between myself and other Black parents and caregivers who are dedicated to educating Black children with love, cultural awareness, and a strong sense of identity. Together, let's embark on this educational journey, where we can exchange ideas, share experiences, and empower our children with a profound understanding of their history and heritage.
