The Best of the Bunch

I have 30 years of teaching experience in Tennessee. I have taught first grade for 9 years and third grade for 21 years. I am currently teaching third grade at Towne Acres Elementary School in Johnson City, Tennessee. This is my 29th year teaching at Towne Acres.

My classroom is structured, yet flexible. I use a variety of teaching methods and do whatever it takes to reach each child.

I was named Towne Acres Teacher of the Year for the 2001-2002 and 2013-2014 school years. I was awarded as K-4 Science Teacher of the Year by the Tennessee Science Teachers Association in 2021.

I hold BS and MS of Education degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Go Vols!

I am a wife to my dear husband of 27 years. the mom to 2 adult sons (ages 25 and 21), and the mom to 4 furry felines! Blessed beyond measure!
