TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Most of my teaching experience spans High School English in West Texas. I have been in everything from a regular English classroom to a co-teach classroom to AP and Gifted and Talented. I enjoy pushing students and asking them to go further than they ever thought they could. I have also had experience teaching middle school English.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a creative, out-of-the-box thinker and I ask my students to do the same. I love student choice and often vary assignments that allow them to have ownership over their work. Many of the assignments I produce lend themselves to differentiating for individual needs. There are extensions for gifted students and scaffolding for those that need it. Since moving to Maine, I have begun incorporating a lot more technology based projects into my assignments.
