We have 13 years of combined curriculum experience, including 21 years in the classroom, and 10 years of experience with technology integration.
We are educators who are student-centered and data-driven. We intentionally plan using research-based instructional strategies that prioritize the highest levels of engagement and cognition. We maintain standards alignment and utilize a variety of formative assessment strategies to monitor and adjust my instruction based on the needs of my students. We effectively integrate technology, arts integration strategies, and embed 21st century skills into our lessons. We have a passion for teaching and a love for students. We believe each child has individual needs, learning styles, and interests, and strive to incorporate the learner as a whole. We intentionally differentiate our instruction to meet the needs of students based on relationships, background information, and formative assessment data. Targeted instruction entails utilizing individual and small group instruction, leveled reading, kinesthetic strategies, manipulatives, the arts, discussion, and technology. We maintain a collaborative dialogue with school and district support personal and the parents to ensure that the students needs are met and they have most supportive environment for their success.
