Terrell has designed and implemented school literacy and writing plans, has experience as a Literacy Committee Chairperson, and English Department Head, and led professional development for schools and districts nationally.
As TeachThought's primary developer of curricula, Terry's teaching style is a student-centered approach focused on three themes: 1. Critical thinking 2. Personalized and differentiated learning 3. A convergent demand of multiple literacies, including information, writing, reading, digital, and research literacy

Terrell is a well-trained husband and father of four very busy children. Terrell is also Founder and Director of TeachThought, writer for George Lucas Foundation (edutopia). He is also a humanist and futurist interested in social improvement, artificial intelligence, and self-directed learning.
