Teaching Takes the Cake

UPDATED* I am taking a brief hiatus from teaching to be a SAHM and teacher to my two little boys. I am excited to use nap and bedtimes to create products that you all can use: teachers, creators, and homeschooling parents alike. I have been teaching in the public school system since 2005. I was most recently teaching just outside of Philadelphia. My experiences have included elementary learning support for grades 2nd-5th, regular education for grade 3, and reading specialist for grades K-5th. Now I am home teaching my little guy at the young age of 3. I absolutely love what I do everyday and hope to share my love of making learning fun with all of you!

I served on my school district's math committee. I have also served on committees in the past that helped develop language arts curriculum, align our curriculum to the state standards, and infuse social studies and language arts curricula to fit block scheduling at the middle school level.

I am PA certified in elementary education, special education, and reading (with specialist certification).

I was part of my previous school district's Differentiated Instruction team which was designed to deliver staff development on in-service days regarding ways teachers can differentiate for all learners. I was also hired as a Direct Interactive Instruction coach for my previous district. I most recently served as a K-5 reading specialist. Part of my duties required me to work with children in small groups, help design RTII/MTSS within my building, collect and analyze district and building-level ELA data, and run trainings.
