I am a veteran teacher with 19 years teaching experience. I taught 2nd grade for 9 years and then moved up to 3rd grade. I absolutely love my thirdsters! I am gifted certified and have previously taught in a Magnet Elementary school where science, math, and technology were the focus. I am a system mentor for my school district and host several professional learning classes for my district each year.
I firmly believe in the power of a positive attitude. I work hard to create a climate in my room where children feel safe, loved, and challenged. By doing so, my students feel comfortable taking risks and understand that making mistakes is a big part of the learning process. I try to create engaging, hands-on, rigorous lessons that encourage my students to think critically and think outside of the box. I work hard to meet the needs of my students through a mixture of conceptual understanding and basic skills.

I love creating educational resources and hope that the products I create find a purpose in your classroom. I love to read and enjoy pinning new ideas from Pinterest. I am an expert shopper but haven't been able to devote as much time to it lately (probably a blessing). I am a mother of a very energetic 9 year old and enjoy spending time with my husband and son.
