Teaching Dinos

I am certified to teach elementary K-6 and middle level math and English. I have student taught 5th grade, and have substituted in various grades until my oldest son arrived and changed everything! (In the best way possible!) I have taught afterschool and summer clubs for Science Explorers and Computer Explorers for children from the ages of 5 to 11 years old. Within these, I have taught students in LEGO clubs, how to create their own video games, movie making, doing various hands on science experiments, and teaching science in a fun and interactive way. I currently homeschool my 3rd and 5th grader... which quite honestly may be my most challenging role yet!

I believe in fostering a love for learning by creating lessons and activities that are not only fun and engaging, but educational as well. Children love, and do learn from play!

Graduated Summa Cum Laude, 3E Student Teacher Educator 500 Award, 2011 Teacher Education Senior Award, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Recognition Certificate. And most importantly: "Best Mommy in the World" - awarded by the ones that matter most!

I'm a homeschooling mama to two wonderful red-headed boys, a wife to an amazing husband, and saved by grace by Jesus Christ! I'm passionate about photography, painting, gardening, my chickens, enjoy reading historical fiction, and learning to bake allergy-free goodies for my food allergic kiddos. Life is busy around here. But, as Gretchen Rubin so eloquently puts it, "the days are long, but the years are short!"
