TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am entering my 7th year as a teacher, I have taught in both West Virginia and Maryland in both 3rd and 4th grades. I am one of our districts Literacy Lead teachers and a Math Teacher Leader in our county. I have spent time as an intern teaching 1st grade and 8th grade. I have enjoyed my experience with such a wide rage of learners, but my heart is definitely with upper elementary kiddos.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love integrating technology into my classroom and using digital interactive notebooks. I have a passion for teaching reading and helping students develop a joy in reading. I enjoy doing mini lessons and incorporation small group stations in between to get students moving and keeping them on task with various activities in the classroom.
