TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I graduated in 1995 from East Texas Baptist University with a degree in elementary education. I taught one year in Texas in a 2nd grade classroom, before my husband and I moved to Maine for his work. I then took a job at Bangor Christian Schools in Bangor, Maine. I spent a total of 9 years working in the elementary here and then moved into the middle school as the science and math teacher. The completion of my Master's Degree in Science Education has allowed me to move into this field. As I began the 27th year of my teaching career, I have moved into a position that allows me to work with out elementary gifted and talented and middle and high school honors students. My TpT store includes a variety of lesson types and skill levels.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My primary approach in the classroom is hands-on. I incorporate as many learning styles as possible in each of my class lessons and activities. Differentiating to meet the needs of all of my students is important.
