TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This begins my 29th year in education in the same county. I have primarily taught 2nd grade, but also Title I intervention, behavior, and am a TEAM evaluator, math coach, and system wide presenter.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have always been ADHD so I am a do it kind of teacher. There is not end to my creativity and fun in the classroom. If there is not a song or game for a lesson then I make one up.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Teacher of the Year at Algood School, News Channel 2 Educator of the month, Kiss Radio Teacher of the Week many times, 21st Century classroom award of $20,000 of technology, have be awarded too many grants to begin to mention from Target's field trip grants, Toshiba Math Grant, Dollar General Literacy Grant and the list goes on. AS of recent, I was accepted to work with the Institute for Research with the University of Pittsburg and the TN DOE as a math coach, am a system wide TEAM evaluator in the elementary schools locally (4 years now) and have a degree in administration and supervision.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

This begins my 29th year teaching. I have been the afterschool site director and have my degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's in Administration and Supervision. The past 4 years I have been a full time TEAM Evaluator for the school system. During this time I have evaluated over 500 lessons and presented all day inservices for teachers.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am the mother of 2 boys--ages 22 and 11.
