TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Developing resources for not only my own use, but for others as well. Simple start-up tasks that lead into and through any English lesson.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Teaching students with intellectual disabilities can be a challenge. The difficulties with these students lies in finding material that is appropriate to their age, but also material that I can attach to the curriculum and to their learning targets. Many of my students may be socially capable kids, but they struggle with their comprehension. That is why all of my work is differentiated to suit different types of learners. The biggest part is finding topics and content that suit their interest, while at the same time, focussing on each of their unique learning goals.
