Teacher Huddle

We are a husband and wife team from Texas. I am starting year 28 in the classroom and currently love my current spot as a 2nd grade teacher. I've spent my career working with 2nd-4th graders. I believe they are the just perfect age to teach! My husband spent 25 years in corporate business. He later transitioned to teaching and coaching. Teaching career-based curriculum allows him to leverage his corporate experience by helping students explore current and up and coming careers.

We believe that the longer we teach, the more there is to learn! My biggest goal each year is to instill a love of reading and writing in my students. I strive to be a positive part of a child's journey to become a lifelong reader/writer. My husband's goal is to help students discover their passions in life and align these with a satisfying career.

I have been honored to work with Mentoring Minds over the past years as a writer. I created their Writing RoundUp series and contributed to their Motivation Reading and Motivation Writing product lines.
