TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello, Denise here! My path of becoming an educator and going back to school, started with a year of service at a high school in Aurora, Colorado. I then pursued and obtained a Bachelors in Human Development with an Elementary License, from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Not wanting to quite settle down and sign a contract just yet, I chased a dream to teach and live abroad. Which brought me to Madrid, Spain in the summer of 2018, and where I can still be found presently (May 2020). Here I works as an ELA both in an Elementary school and providing private lessons to students from the ages of 5-14! I'm a fan of personalized lesson plans and work hard to compile and create many of my own materials for my classes. So I hope some of these resources can extend to others here on TPT!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Interactive Hands on and a I do, we do, you do approach to teaching. My students levels of course range I often check for prior knowledge and build from their!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live and work in Madrid, Spain! This was a dream come true and the best decision I ever made! I combine my passion for teaching and travel and enjoy everything Europe has to offer. Where do I hail from? That would be Atlanta (Lovejoy), Georgia! I come from a family of educators and while at first I thought I'd go into something with a Business background. My mother nicely reminded me that when I was a child, I made test for my friends...Years later I'm still creating materials!
