Tannis Tutor

For close to ten years I have taught English to a wide variety of students in diverse educational settings. Over the course of ten plus years, I have taught in community, conventional classroom and in one-to-one environments. My experience teaching abroad has ignited a passion for teaching ESL. While I especially enjoy teaching primary and middle-grade students, I have taught learners of all ages including mature adults.

My approach to teaching is student-centric. I encourage curiosity, engagement and academic achievement by delivering high-energy and quick-paced lessons. My lessons are comprehensive and designed with the intent to foster range of learning skills and tap into various learning modalities. As a life-long learner myself, I constantly seek new, evidence-based approaches to enhance learning opportunities.
