TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked (and continue to work) as a high school Latin teacher in NJ. My experience spans over 3+ districts, four textbooks, and both high school and middle school. I have written curricula and created integrated performance assessments for my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

The materials I am creating and selling are fluency-based or reading based. I want my students to learn good Latin, but I believe that it can be achieved through comprehensible input and friendlier methods. I have a free voluntary reading program in my classroom and am developing a writing program.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have presented at the American Classical League on Digital Breakouts in 2018. I also received a scholarship from the New Jersey Classical Association to travel to Rome and study for six weeks at the American Academy in the summer of 2017.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BA from Rutgers University (Latin, Greek & English Literature), 2012 MA from Western Governors University (Learning Experience Design and Instructional Technology), 2023
