By Susan's Learning Connection I have over 17 years of education experience, both in the elementary classroom, as well as preschool and private tutoring experience. I am currently an Orton-Gillingham Practitioner and do one on one sessions with kiddos. I use the Orton Gillingham approach and work with any students that struggle with reading or have dyslexia. Trained by OGOA and IMSE and currently in training for CALP and OGA-A.
I believe in using a multi-sensory approach and I work to help each child learn in a way that works best for him/her. Additionally, I led my school's student assistance team for 9 years, which provided me added knowledge of how to help students that struggle in various areas.
Nominated for Teacher of the Year Wrote and received numerous grants that included sensory materials to help students.
