TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching elementary music for over 10 years. Somewhere along the way, I started to feel like I had more to give and viola! - the Sunshine and Music Blog was born.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have certification in Orff and Music Learning Theory, so my classroom tends to be a mix of the two pedagogies. I'm a visual learner, so I like to use lots of clear and concise visual tools to teach.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with my degree in Music Education in 2008. My education in this subject continues every year, through the work I do in my classroom and the professional development I attend. A teacher's work is never done.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In addition to teaching, I am also blessed to be mother to a wonderful daughter, and wife to a wonderful husband. Life is busy, but full. Yoga is my jam, as well as thrift shopping and binge-watching Marie Kondo or people buying beachfront properties in exotic locations. I’m just a normal gal, hustling along and sharing her experiences along the way. I hope you find something (or multiple things!) that are useful to you. If so, my blog has been a success!
