I've wanted to be a teacher since first grade and have immersed myself in childcare opportunities since age 13. I babysat from newborns to 14 year-olds as well as helped with homework. I led classrooms through my church in Vacation Bible Study and have worked at three church nurseries. I student taught in a nationally accredited bilingual program for 3rd grade and taught 4th grade in a very low socioeconomic school in New Mexico. I have tutored middle school to university students in a variety of subjects.
Through my experience, I have seen that many students don't enjoy school any more. I loved school as a child and had a desire to learn that was encouraged by my teachers. In my own classroom, I incorporated hands-on lessons and activities, challenges that forced them to think creatively, and educational games.
Yet to be added
I graduated from high school in the top 10% and have a bachelor's in Bilingual Early Education. I graduated college with high honors.
I am taking time off to travel the world with my husband and would love to share my resources with other overworked teachers who enjoy having fun in their classrooms.
