Teaching and developing STEAM outreach programs based on the Alberta curriculum for over 6 years along with overseeing multiple inclusive STEAM and career-oriented clubs and summer camps for youth ages 5-15, which included providing support and resources to the instructors, many of whom are pre-service teachers or high schooleres with an avid interest in heading toward education. Also a proud supporter and member of Actua, a Canadian non-profit organization with a goal of making STEAM accessible to everyone!
Hands on and student-led learning is critical to allow youth to develop real world skills as soon as they can. Incorporating inclusive and adaptative content into all that you do helps to ensure all students can excel and work to help make a much better world altogether. Providing multiple formats and options that students can choose to learn from instead of by-the-book learning gives all learners the best chance to thrive.
