5 years teaching high school sciences including biology, chemistry, environmental, and physical science. 2 years teaching graduate level biochemistry laboratory and introductory chemistry lab.
My main strategies are hands on project oriented learning. I focus on the 5 E learning style for younger students and progressively move towards more lecture style teaching for upper level courses.

I grew up in Connecticut and moved to NC in 2006. I worked industry for a couple of years and decided that was boring and monotonous. Then I decided to enroll in graduate school where I fell in love with teaching. I now teach high school science, tutor outside of school, and have been invited back to teach at the university where I earned my master's degree.
