Hi Y'all, I have five years of teaching experience. I have worked with great mentors along the way and I am continuously learning myself. I have taught 7th and 8th grade math throughout my experience thus far. Teaching has been different, but the students remain just as loving and caring. Enjoy teaching!
I am full of energy and my students call me quirky or crazy depending on the day. I never sit down and it feels like I never take a breath, but I love it that way. I am learning to create and use activities virtually in my teaching strategies in order to keep students engaged. Learn with me.
I am rewarded when a student emails me with their appreciation or just simply asks about my day with genuine concern. I do however, love Christmas time and Teacher Appreciation month. That is the true reward knowing I am making an impact and changing lives.
I have a Bachelors in Mathematics from Troy University (Go Trojans!) and a Masters in Mathematics from Kennesaw State University. I am currently inquiring and working towards National Board Certification.
I think the travel bug bit me when I was growing up, because ever since I became old enough to travel solo I have not stopped. I have been to 14+ countries and lived in China for two years. However, if I am not traveling you can find me in the local Crossfit gym (Yes, I am one of those). I love fitness and I love to compete when I am able.
