TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began teaching informally beginning 7th grade, when my classmates realized that I wouldn't just let them copy my papers. I began teaching semi-formally in 12th grade when I joined FEA. Officially, I am in my 10th year of teaching Life Science/Biology. I also do occasional mini-lessons for preschools, usually on dinosaurs. I create 99% of the material used in my class, and I update it every year, before and after each lesson. Currently, I am also on a committee to redesign our district's science curriculum.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Concurrent with teaching, I am composing a middle school science text, which I will modify into a textbook, workbook, and online resource. All info-graphics, drawings, and diagrams were designed by me. Most photographs are also mine. I can create images on Microsoft PowerPoint that some people can only create on an advanced art program.
