TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm a speech-language pathologist working in the schools with a small private practice in the south Denver metro area. I'm nationally certified and licensed in California and Colorado where I have worked in public schools for the last 6 years at the elementary and secondary levels. I received social cognition at two designated clinics in northern California which greatly shaped my teaching style and passion for social communication.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to create specifically designed for the needs of my students, especially those working on social communication. I find a lot of products are general and don't allow opportunities to apply the lessons to real life, so my products have an application emphasis for you to walk through with your students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I recently published my first book, "If Feelings Take Over," on Amazon! It follows a third grade boy through his day as he learns about how to manage his powerful emotions. It contains discussion questions and an application lesson at the end - very similar to my TPT style!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor's in Communicative Disorders, emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology, and a minor in Theatre. I graduated from San Jose State University with a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology.
