TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Meet Me, a super-experienced teacher with over 20 years of helping students learn about social studies. I'm like a history wizard! I know exactly how to make stories from the past come alive in our minds. I've taught so many kids in middle school, making learning about history and different cultures super interesting. With me, classes feel like exciting adventures through time, and I always have cool activities that help us understand important events. My love for teaching shows in the way I help you connect with the past and understand the world better.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is laid-back, making learning feel relaxed and enjoyable. I believe in the power of fun to enhance the educational experience, infusing creativity and joy into every lesson. Storytelling is a significant part of my approach—I weave exciting narratives into the subjects, making complex concepts easier to grasp. Learning becomes an adventure, and I love seeing students engaged and captivated by the stories we explore together. Collaboration is at the heart of my classroom; I encourage students to share their ideas, work together, and learn from one another. Together, we create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where everyone feels inspired and motivated to succeed.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I went to school for a long time to learn about teaching and helping students. First, I got a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, which means I learned how to teach older kids, like in middle and high school. After that, I studied more and got a Master's Degree in Social Science, where I learned even more about subjects like history, politics, and society. Then, I didn't stop—I kept going and got a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. That means I became an expert in planning what students learn and how they learn it. Now, I know a lot about teaching and creating lessons that help students understand and enjoy learning.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Hello, I'm a teacher from Georgia who has a family of my own, including my daughters and some furry friends, dogs. I enjoy learning about art history because it lets me explore the fascinating stories behind famous paintings and sculptures. When I'm not immersed in the world of art, I love spending time watching true crime shows, uncovering real-life mysteries, and solving puzzles. Whether it's appreciating the beauty of art or getting lost in the twists and turns of a true crime story, I find joy in exploring different aspects of life and learning along the way.
