SLP Helps - Stephanie Tarrant Martin

I have 40+ years experience as an SLP in a variety of settings such as the schools, hospital, nursing home/rehab, private practice and even spent over a decade as a professor in a university. I currently work in the schools and have a caseload primarily filled with children in with autism, intellectual disability, and other communication disorders. I also happen to be a Certified Autism Specialist.

I love learning new intervention strategies and techniques. I have a couple of mottos......."whatever works the best for each individual" and "speech/language intervention just HAS to be fun no matter how old the patient/client/student is!"

Gosh and shucks....I've gotten a few but I don't think I'll mention them here.

Oregon State University - Speech Pathology and Audiology M.A. University of Kansas - Speech/Language Pathology Ph.D. University of Oregon Speech/Language Pathology, Audiology with some Neuropsychology thrown in. Just for the record, I hold my CCCs in both Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology.

I love people, spending time with family, reading, learning, music, International folkdancing, and thinking up new therapy materials.
