TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have sixteen years of teaching experience at the elementary school level. All of these 16 years have been spent teaching 4th and 5th grade students at a Title I school in Georgia. I have provided tutoring at the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade levels. I have been teaching Science as Content Specialist.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is more student centered with hands-on activities. Scaffolding is provided to support the learning of all students.

My first few months of teaching I was selected Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year in the city where I teach.

I have a B.S. in Psychology from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia, a Master of Art in Teaching from Piedmont College, Demorest,GA, and earned an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College, Demorest, GA.
