After graduating, I worked as a speech and language therapist at a remedial school for 5 years. Thereafter, I gained the happiest years of experience as a mom raising my own two children. Once my kids were a little older, I returned to teaching at a preschool for 18 years.

I believe in the power of storytelling and narrative teaching. It comes naturally to most of us and can address almost any issue. Above all, it is fun!

I matriculated with distinction from an all-girls school where I had already developed my love for the arts and languages. I continued to study Speech and Language Pathology (BLog), followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of Pretoria.

I am proudly South African. I love the people, places, and wonders of my country. I have a soft heart for our children in particular. I want them to have equal opportunities for good learning.
