TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Presidential Award Winner in Science, Member of Academy for National Science and Mathematics Leadership. Teacher in private and public school settings, and educational consultant.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Prefer teaching in an outdoor setting, and have taken students to Hawaii for Marine Biology and earning SCUBA certification, Bermuda to the Biological Research Station, and Cape Cod for whale studies. A cabin at the local state park, and a Magic School Bus at the local dam have provided extraordinary activities for my students. Have accompanied college students to ForFar Field Station and Florida for coral reef studies and shark biology. Cooperative group work, hands on science, and lab work augment concepts presented from lectures.
