Ever since I was in 3rd grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. That goal motivated me all through school so when it was time to pick a college and major, it was an easy choice! I graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in the Spring of 2016 with my Bachelor's of Liberal Arts in Education. After a year in the classroom, I knew I wasn't done learning and decided to go back for my Master's. I graduated with my Master's in the summer of 2018 with a degree in Curriculum and Instruction, emphasis in STEM learning.

I left the teaching field in June of 2023 after teaching 1st-3rd grade for 7 years. Through conversations with teachers and parents about the holes in our curriculum, I knew there was a need for resources that would set up our future generation so they would be prepared not only in the workforce, but as a motivated, successful adult. That is when the idea of Schooled in STEM+ hit me! I wanted to create something that would include STEM, college and career readiness, social/emotional learning, career exploration and so much more.
