ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Dr. Ashley Smithey is a School Psychologist in public schools, as well as Assistant Director and Emotional and Behavioral Consultant for Templeton Neuro Academic Clinic in private practice. She has extensive experience in the prevention, early intervention, and treatment of students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. She facilitates small groups and individual counseling, addressing specific deficit areas in social-emotional learning through Self-Regulation training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Social Thinking. Dr. Smithey conducts Psycho-Educational and Independent Educational Evaluations in all disability areas, with specialization in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. She also consults with other professionals regarding case management and provides professional development to school staff. Dr. Smithey reaches out to parents and families as well, particularly those from dual homes due to divorce, as she strives to create consistency of support and communication across all settings.
