Thank you for visiting School Is a Happy Place. |
Teaching since to 2000 and love it!
I love hands on activities that allow students to problem solve and work with other students.
I was selected as the Teacher of the Year at my school in 2011 and in 2016. I was also named my district's Teacher of the Year in 2016. I have led professional development sessions in reading/language arts and in math for my school system.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in history. I received my Master's Degree at East Tennessee University. I have my endorsement in elementary education and secondary history.
I am married with a young daughter. I do volunteer work in my community and with my church. I enjoy running and group fitness classes.
