I am a fifth grade teacher in North Georgia going into my twelfth year of teaching. I started in fifth, had a couple years in fourth, but came right back to fifth. I have taught all subjects, was the Social Studies teacher for fifth, and have been working in the ELA/SS position for the past two years. While I love teaching Social Studies, I found there was a LOT to be desired in terms of resources. *PLEASE NOTE: My store is not currently in line with the GSE standards. While MOST of my products allign to current standards, my store is a work in progress. Please continue to watch as I spend some time updating. :)

While I think there is importance in lecture and notes, I try to provide engaging approaches to Social Studies through vocabulary matching, time lines, class games, and other hands-on approaches (as hands-on as Social Studies can be in fifth grade!).

I feel I am a forever student! I received a B.S.Ed at Valdosta State University in Early Childhood Education. I received an M.Ed at Walden University in Elementary Mathematics. I graduated in December of 2013 with my Ed.S at Piedmont College in Curriculum and Instruction. I aspire to get my Doctorate through the University of Georgia... but I need some time off before I follow through with it. :)
