Samantha Ches

I am in my 9th year of teaching and most of my experience has been in kindergarten. I teach in the biggest city in my area and often work with students that come from very different backgrounds and experiences. I am passionate about working in this population and providing a consistent and reliable role model to my students.

I teach in a whole child approach that focuses on hands on learning opportunities. Many of my lessons are done in a gradual release so that the students will watch me model the activity, then practice the activity before going off to work independently. I work in an inner city school with 100% free and reduced lunch, so I try to create lessons that are engaging and hands on to help keep the interest level high and the motivation to learn strong.
