15+ Years in Education Masters in Elementary Teaching University of Notre Dame STEM Trustey Teaching Fellow
Hello! I'm a passionate advocate for learning, particularly in the realm of STEM. With an expansive professional background spanning over 15 years, I've taught grades ranging from pre-k to 8th in private, public, and IB magnet schools. At the core of my teaching methodology is a deep commitment to inquiry-based learning. I truly believe that fostering a curious mind is the gateway to transformative experiences. It's this philosophy that led me to shape young minds not only as a STEM Teacher and School Coordinator but also as a STEM Teaching Fellow with the prestigious University of Notre Dame. Beyond the classroom, I've crafted engaging STEM lessons for the Kohl Children’s Museum, making science, technology, engineering, and mathematics accessible and enjoyable for all. My academic accomplishments include a Masters in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. On a personal note, while not championing STEM education or nurturing the minds of the next generation, I'm a dedicated mom to two wonderful elementary-age children. I also have a (slightly) green thumb and love tending to my indoor plants. Their growth reminds me of the ever-evolving minds I've had the privilege to guide. Looking forward to helping more students uncover the wonders of STEM!
