TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I spent 7 years as a K-4th grade science lab teacher. I also taught 2nd and this year, I am teaching 4th-grade ELAR. I spent 3 years as a district curriculum writer. I have a Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Purdue University.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in the constructivist learning style, where students are in charge of their own learning. I try to create a learning environment where students are taught how to think rather than what to think. I also believe in teaching to the WHOLE student. Academics are very important but so is the social/emotional well being of our students.
