I am currently in my sixth year of teaching high school level mathematics. I have had the opportunity to teach a wide spectrum of courses, including Math I, II, and III, Advanced Functions and Modeling, Algebra II, Geometry, and Honors Pre-Calculus. Currently, I am the Honors Pre-Calculus teacher at Porter Ridge High School. I also teach sections of Math II, including inclusion courses. On the side, I develop online lessons, assessments and assignments for my district's virtual school.
My teaching style is student centered. However I can allow the students to take ownership of their own learning while ensuring their mastery of the content I teach is how I'm going to teach it. This includes traditional note-taking, but also includes more engaging activities, such as hands-on and technologically-centered investigations, projects, and games.
