I have been teaching in the UK for 15 years. I have taught all areas of school life from Nursery (Pre School) all the way up to Primary 7 (Grade 5) and I am now an ASN (SEND, SEN, SpEd) teacher. So my experience is extremely varied.
I plan. That's always been my thing. I plan so I and those around me know what we are doing in the day / week / month / term. However we all know that plans don't always go to plan, so having the flexibility to change them to suit the children or any other unforeseen developments is essential. Keeping the children in my class enthused, motivated and smiling is the key to the many successful years I have had in the classroom with some very challenging children.
The absolute best moments in my teaching are those occasions when your old students come back to see you or in a few cases to gain work experience with me. It reminds you that you do make a difference and you do inspire. These moments are my proudest.
I have a Batchelor of Education in Primary. I received 1st class honours.
