I am in the process of earning my Master of Education degree and California teacher's license for secondary science (physics). As a Stanford Graduate student, I worked as a teacher's assistant for a number of engineering classes. While a Caltech undergraduate, I worked as a counselor for their Freshman Summer Institute and a K-12 tutor for the children of Caltech staff. I also volunteered as a tutor at the local children's shelter. For the past 13 years, I have homeschooled my own 4 children. I also have over a decade of work experience as an engineer in the aerospace industry.
As a lifelong learner, I believe education should be enjoyable. I create resources for efficient learning so that kids can master necessary concepts and ideas quickly while leaving time for more meaningful learning experiences. I believe kids learn best when they are able to make connections on their own. I love creating fun, hands-on learning material that allows children to interact with educational topics.
I created the blog Research Parent as a free resource for parents and teachers that provides quality, hands-on, educational material for kids of all ages. Visit the site for lots more downloadable learning tools, science and robotics experiments, book lists for kids, and other ideas to make learning fun. I provide exclusive content and early acceess to the educational material I create to Patreon members. Thank you for your support!
