More than 20 years of teaching across all age groups, from early daycare to high school. Extensive experience as a dedicated Sunday school teacher, along with 7 years of full-time teaching in Thailand and South Korea. I love graphic design and was made the yearbook supervisor at my school because of it!
My teaching approach is all about keeping things engaging and interactive. I love to incorporate a diverse range of supplemental resources and introduce delightful surprises in each class. As a visual and hands-on teacher, I aim to make learning a memorable and enjoyable experience.
One of the most rewarding moments of my teaching career was when I was teaching high school economics in South Korea. We organized a "market day" where students created their own businesses, invested their own money, and kept any profits they made. A week later, one student came up to me and said, "Mr. Reed, I went to the mall and bought a new sweater with my own money for the first time in my life. It felt amazing." This heartwarming moment filled me with pride and showed me the power of hands-on learning to shape young minds.
I majored in Political Science with a minor in History. I always told people that I wanted to be President of the United States. No longer! :)
I come from a large family of 11 siblings. I'm happily married and have one baby boy!
