TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've had five years experience as an English teacher in which I have worked with a students from truly varied backgrounds and of varying abilities. I am Second in Charge of the English department at my current school where I have been tasked to take the lead on Teaching and Learning within the department.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I favour active learning strategies but believe students need a range of activities to keep them engaged.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Promoted to Head of Key Stage 3 within my first three years of teaching. Promoted again to Second in English last summer. I was invited to lecture at a local university due to my achievements in film journalism.
