TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! I have been teaching students to read since I began my teaching career in 2009. After teaching first and third grade for 10 years, I became a Reading Specialist. I am trained in Orton Gillingham and the Science of Reading. I absolutely love what I do each day, and am becoming passionate about spreading the Science of Reading to other educators!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is to find the learning style of my students. I primarily teach with a structured literacy approach as I have learned so much about the research behind the Science of Reading. Teaching students with dyslexia is another passion of mine.
