Mary Whyte is a board certified music therapist as well as director and owner of Pure Progression Music Therapy. Mary interned at a specialized school in Salt Lake City, Hartvigsen, where she worked with children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and other developmental disabilities. She has also worked at several other schools with children with special needs and works with children in her private practice.

She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Therapy and an emphasis in Bass performance and Jazz Studies. She has a Maters of Arts degree in Music Therapy from St. Mary of the Woods College. She is also trained in Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth and enjoys working in pre and perinatal services.
She loves writing songs for children to be used in development. Including social, emotional, cognitive, communicative, physical, and behavioral development. These songs are fun songs and can help with learning educational concepts, seasonal and holiday songs, and used for remembering every day life skills.
