I was a hot mess as a first year teacher. I had to create all of my own materials because the school that I taught at didn't believe in textbooks. At the same time, the curriculum was being rewritten district wide so I had no idea what to teach. Those first weeks of teaching I was often confused and overwhelmed. I have created this store in order to provide all teachers, but especially new teachers, with organizational tips and materials to help them manage their classrooms and make it enjoyable place for them and their students.

I believe in writing as practice. The only way to become a better writer is to write every day. In my classes I have my students writing constantly. I also teach them to read critically.

I have three Masters' degrees in English: an MA, an M.Ed, and an MFA.

I have been teaching for over 15 years. I have taught many different grades levels, from 6th grade though college upperclassmen. I have taught at the University of New Hampshire, Penn State, University of Phoenix, Kaplan University, and Holy Family University.
