TEACHING EXPERIENCE

As a teacher in Tunisia, I had the privilege of working in a diverse and vibrant educational environment. One of my most memorable experiences was during a cultural exchange program at a public school in Tunis, the capital city.I was assigned to teach English to a group of 9th-grade students. The classroom was bustling with energy and curiosity. Many of my students came from different regions of Tunisia, each with their own unique perspectives and dialects. This diversity enriched our classroom discussions and made for a dynamic learning environment.One of the challenges I faced was the difference in language proficiency levels among my students. Some were already quite proficient in English, while others were just beginning their language journey. To address this, I designed lessons that catered to various skill levels, incorporating interactive activities, games, and multimedia resources. This allowed all students to participate actively and feel a sense of accomplishment.What struck me the most during my time in Tunisia was the students' genuine eagerness to learn and their respect for education. They were always eager to ask questions, engage in debates, and share their thoughts on various topics, from global issues to their local experiences. Their enthusiasm was contagious and kept me motivated as a teacher.Beyond the classroom, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the rich Tunisian culture. I was invited to traditional gatherings, enjoyed delicious local cuisine, and explored historical sites like the ancient city of Carthage and the Medina of Tunis. These experiences deepened my understanding of Tunisia's heritage and helped me connect with my students on a more personal level.Working as a teacher in Tunisia was not without its challenges, including administrative hurdles and limited resources. However, the warmth and resilience of my students and colleagues made every effort worthwhile. I left Tunisia with a profound appreciation for the country's commitment to education and its vibrant culture, carrying with me lasting memories of my time as a teacher in this beautiful North African nation.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In my primary education classroom, I embrace a teaching style that revolves around creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners.
