This is my third year as a teacher, so I come with a lot of fresh ideas and the enthusiasm of a teacher somewhat new to the profession. I currently teach special education to upper elementary school students. I am one of those teachers who thinks about my students and my lessons before, during, and after school, often falling asleep with lesson plan ideas floating through my brain!
I am an advocate of hands-on learning and applying new learning in all different formats. I also fully understand and believe that all children learn at different paces, so I am constantly designing activities that can be differentiated to meet the needs of students' different learning levels.
I received the "Student Teacher of the Year" award at the end of my senior year of college, which was such an honor to me!
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.
I believe that ALL children can learn, and I teach my students with that principle in mind. Every child learns differently, and it is our job to figure out how to use each child's learning style to teach them in the most effective way!
