TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been an elementary school teacher since 2010, with experience teaching all subject areas to grades 2-6. I teach in a small, rural city in the Canadian Prairies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I want my classroom to be more than a place. I want it to be a space where a community lives. I want students to belong. I want to create the space for students to use their voices. I want students to see that they matter and that what they do, think, and say is important. I want them to discover themselves, quest for knowledge, discuss ideas, support and share. I want them to feel and I want them to inspire each other. I want them to be excited to learn. I want them to learn from and with each other. I want them to enjoy being kids and I want their curiosities to inspire their learning.
