I have worked as an elementary and middle school teacher of English Language Arts and social studies in grades 5 through 8, and as a self contained teacher in grades 2 and 3. I enjoy integrating content areas and incorporating music in my classroom. As a teacher leader, I have also served as a Teacher Specialist for 5 years, helping to improve quality of instruction in classrooms and improving academic achievement.

I am certified in Gifted and Talented education. An additional interest is using technology in the content areas of social studies and English Language Arts. I love music, and so do students. Therefore, I integrate it into daily instruction to add interest and teach content.
